I'm a former feature writer for the Guardian and others, including the BBC, New Scientist, and London Review of Books—winning awards from Amnesty International, the Commission for Racial Equality, and the Work Foundation. These days I like writing about interesting data most of all. You'll find lots of examples on my Substack in the box above.

I've written two novels (see below). And since 2020, I've worked at Full Fact, where I write mainly about science and statistics.
